Hello fellow adventurers!

For our first blog post I thought it would be fitting to introduce the Plum Crazy Crew! Scott and I (Megan) wrangle the circus we call our family, business, and lives. We have four boys who at the time of this publication range from 8 years old to 26 years old, and we have had some pretty extraordinary adventures! For fun, we are going to highlight each person's favorite vacation destination and memory.

Scott: The day we surprised the boys with their very first trip to Disney World. A friend of ours rode with us to the airport (we told them we were dropping him off for a trip and going to plane watch after) and when we got to the departures ramp Meg handed each of the boys Disney gift cards for them to use for souvenirs while I recorded them on my new smartphone to get their reaction. Their reactions were priceless, Chris was in shock, JT was excited but wanted to make sure our friend was coming, and Noah couldn't stop bouncing up and down. After checking bags and going through security we sat down near the glass at our gate and Chris pulled me aside and asked if we were really doing this. My response? "They don't let you get this far and NOT go on a plane, son. You're really going to Disney."

Meg: One of my favorite trips was a multi-generational vacation to Disney World in 2015 with Scott's parents. This was before I became a family travel specialist, and honestly one of the biggest reasons I decided to make the leap and turn my love of travel planning into a career! We had an incredible time in the parks with everyone, including our first ever Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and sampling scrumptious delicacies at EPCOT's Food & Wine Festival. Mike & Deb stayed on property at Port Orleans French Quarter for their first time there, and Deb couldn't get over how much she enjoyed every aspect of the trip, especially the resort and water taxis to Disney Springs. She pulled me aside on the drive home (yes, we drove that trip!) and told me that I should think about planning travel for a living, since I really seemed to know what I was doing. Six months later Plum Crazy Adventures began!

Chris: Probably my favorite travel memory would be riding Soarin' at Disney World for the very first time. Still my favorite ride to this day! A close second would be our trip driving down the coastline of Florida to the Keys, and just getting to see all the Keys and the Everglades.

JT: I guess my favorite vacation memory would be the first time we went to Universal in Orlando and I got to go into Jurassic Park. (JT was obsessed with the Jurassic Park movies as a kid and it really was a dream come true to see him step into the movies he loved! We spent a lot of time that trip exploring Camp Jurassic and getting photos with all of the screen used props.)

Emily (JT's girlfriend): My favorite vacation memory with all of you was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! It's like my imagination and childhood memories of the series came to life. Meg knew all the cool places for photos and places that had nods to the books and not just the movies too.

Noah: Sitting at Mr. Whippy's eating ice cream. (Noah is NOT our talker haha! For context, Mr. Whippy's is a soft-serve ice cream shop located in Chincoteague VA and was a must visit for us on our nearly yearly treks to the Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, home of the Chincoteague ponies made famous by Marguerite Henry.)

Nick: Nick has a hard time with verbal communication, but every morning he wakes up and asks us if we are doing one of three things: 'going to Disney World?' (Animal Kingdom and EPCOT are his favorites!), 'go for a plane ride?', or 'great day for an adventure mommy!' I think it's safe to say that he is as much of a travelholic as his mom and dad!

We hope you enjoyed this little snippet of our Plum Crazy family! If you like blogs like this, let us know and we will be happy to add them into our rotation as we get into this. Have a blessed week everyone!

Meg
